Co-founder & Engineer
- Co-founded Apsis, a multi-tenant business management SaaS for Australian sole traders and small teams, unifying clients, quotes, invoices, expenses, tasks, and tax in one system.
- Took the product from first commit to live release in September 2026 as a two-person team, sharing architecture and delivery.
- Built quoting and invoicing, expense tracking, timesheets, reporting, GST/BAS summaries, and income tax estimates.
- Implemented AI-assisted content generation for quotes and invoices, reducing the writing work behind every client document.
- Integrated Stripe subscription billing, authentication with 2FA, and third-party services.
- Stack: TypeScript, Node.js, Fastify, React, Vite, Prisma, MongoDB, Astro, Docker, GitHub Actions, Vitest, and Playwright.
Fractional Technical Lead & Full Stack Engineer
- Fractional technical leadership and full stack delivery for startups building AI and energy-tech products: architecture, hands-on engineering, and cloud infrastructure.
- At Rahd.ai, re-architected the core platform end to end across backend services, interface, and database design, for an AI product that turns fragmented legacy well records into structured, queryable intelligence for oil and gas decommissioning.
- Worked hands-on with the retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipeline behind the product, maintaining and extending the system that lets engineers interrogate thousands of unstructured historical documents in natural language, work that used to take weeks.
- Shipped across the full stack in a three-engineer team while contributing to architecture and technical direction.
Software Engineer
- Sole web and backend engineer on Foody Bag, a consumer food-rescue marketplace built from scratch: the API, customer and merchant portals, admin tooling, and public site, serving thousands of customers behind iOS and Android apps with 50,000+ downloads.
- Designed and built scalable Node.js and TypeScript services on PostgreSQL and MongoDB, integrating Stripe payments and a headless CMS.
- Built responsive React and Next.js front ends across customer, merchant, and administrative experiences, tuning load performance and responsiveness.
